Information
This project involved designing a commissioned poster for Erin Wright, inspired by her experiences at Boomtown Festival. The aim was to create a visually engaging keepsake that captured the atmosphere, energy, and personal memories associated with the event while reflecting Boomtown's distinctive creative identity. Through discussions with the client, I gathered key moments, themes, and visual references that informed the direction of the design.
A major focus of the project was the combination of expressive typography and illustration-inspired graphic elements to create a composition that felt immersive and authentic to the festival experience. Drawing inspiration from Boomtown's vibrant aesthetic, I experimented with layout, colour, texture, and type treatments to balance storytelling with visual impact. Throughout the design process, I refined the poster through multiple iterations, ensuring the final outcome effectively communicated the client's memories while maintaining a cohesive and striking visual style.
The completed poster serves as both a personal memento and a celebration of the festival's unique culture, demonstrating my ability to translate individual experiences into meaningful visual design through typography, composition, and creative storytelling.
